The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, which was established in 1946. Membership consists of 12,000 professional women of color in 276 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Members are committed to volunteer service to enrich, sustain and ensure the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. The organization boasts of women who are influential decision makers and community leaders. Many of whom who are individual achievers and have made significant differences in the lives of individuals who live and work in the communities in which they serve.
The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered on September 21, 1974. And, for the past 39 years has provided a variety of programs and initiatives which have benefitted the greater community. Our local chapter, aligned with the national organization, focuses on expanding services through program areas, namely: National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, Services to Youth, The Arts and Health and Human Services.
We thank those who have provided support of our organization throughout the years and look to expanding our scope of partnerships with others in the very near future.
